All Volunteer ~ Board Of Directors
Pat Webb ~ Founder/Transporter/President
Pat is a retired, over the road trucker lady, an Animal Rights Activist, Cross-poster, Transporter, Foster Momma & Animal Lover. She has transported fur babies from the West Coast to the East Coast in her 18 wheeler. For health reasons, she can no longer drive 18 wheelers and decided to do something else she loves.
With a bark like a trucker, she has whipped this nonprofit into shape in no time and is showing no signs of stopping to water the roses…all joking aside, she has served as an inspiration to the rest of us and we are all proud to stand by her side in this fight to end the need for Freedom Rides.

Ronnie Webb ~ Vice-President/Driver Extraordinaire
Pat’s husband, best friend and animal loving partner. With many miles of driving under his belt and lots of experience (Thanks to Pat) with fur babies! Ronnie came off the big rigs to drive the furry bus and has been the most vital person in all we are doing. Following in Pat’s footsteps, he diligently works to assure that all is as it should be for the critters in his charge.

Beth Kinder-Rubin ~ Lead Admin. Secretary/Treasurer /Transport Coordinator
Once her husband was diagnosed in 2009 with cancer, Beth had to leave her outside employment behind to become a full-time caregiver, with extra time on her hands. Her love of animals kept her active in her home state of WV, providing short transports for dogs/cats within WV, sharing and cross posting those in need, and rescuing a few fur babies in need herself. Being a follower of the Wheels FaceBook page, and aware of our fund raising efforts to procure funding for a new transport vehicle, she offered to write an essay for entry into the WELLS FARGO $25,000 CONTEST GIVEAWAY in late April 2014, and to promote it, and it skyrocketed into the top 15 vote getters within a month’s time. She was added as an admin for our Facebook page in May, and has helped spread the word of our organization and its mission. Though we did not win the contest, it did help broadened exposure of our services. With the increased need for Pat to be more “hands-on” with the fur babies, she was appointed the Lead Administrator for the Wheels page, posting updates of the transports, sharing of map routes, and keeping our followers informed and entertained with the news of “fur baby” happenings across the country. As transport needs increased and Pat’s increase in transport driving, Beth added another “hat” as Transport Coordinator. This entails the receiving of request forms, transport quotes and the overall planning and mapping of each route, dealing one on one with the shelters, fosters, adopters and rescues for each transport of their fur babies. She has accompanied Pat on several transports that were short and close by WV. This slow progression of responsibilities over time has made her well versed in the internal workings of our organization and the different phases of what is required for our continued success.
Linda Gavasto ~ Advisor/Foster/Groomer
Linda lives in Madera, Ca. and has been a true blue rescuer all of her life. Linda is a retired dog groomer of 40 years and now fosters many dogs. She presently has 13 dogs of her own so just a few more is all that she can handle properly. Pat and Ron Webb have become close friends and they stay at Linda's house to re-coop a little when they arrive in Central Cal. Mostly Linda works out of Madera County but has been branched out as far as Fresno.
Jera Matz ~ Marketing and Foster
Jera was raised in South Florida with a Fur baby in the house. In her teens, Jera took care of rabbits, ducks and chickens along with dogs. As an adult with family of her own, she has taught them proper care for all animals. She even had a pet goat for a while. Jera is a cousin to Pat and they were raised to love and care for all animals, by our parents. Jera says "When I found out that Pat and Ron were doing rescue transporting, I was so inspired by her & what they were doing." Jera's husband (Brett) and Jera have rescued several dogs from Atlanta and CA that they have saved. Jera just couldn't pass up those little eyes. They both were also transporters and fosters for a Saint Bernard that was surrendered by its owner in OH, until Pat could get here and transport it to the new owner.
Heather James ~ Volunteer/Social Media Co-Admin/ Promoter and Fundraiser
Heather James is an animal lover from the bottom to the top. She has two boys that are grown and many furbabies. (7 dogs, Yoda she adopted on her second trip to California with Pat, check out his Facebook page Yoda’s Journey, and 4 cats, plus fosters at times) She has always had a pet of some kind for as long as she can remember. When she is not busy with her “kids” , Heather works a full time job with Books Are Fun and then also helps rescues and friends with their pets whenever she can. She loves volunteering wherever there is a need. She started with Wheels 4 Paws from a Facebook post asking for help on a cross country trip as a co-driver. You can check out her pictures from the trips she has made on her Facebook page and the stories she has told to go with them. She fell in love with Pat and Ron and the whole W4P team and she now helps with the fundraisers and updating the Facebook pages and the various social internet needs W4P has. She also travels on the longer trips when she is able, and helps anywhere we say “HELP”.

Jeannette Hebert ~ Fundraiser/Auction Coordinator & Foster
Jeannette lives in Modesto, Ca. She worked as a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant for 25 Years; the last 7 of those years she taught at a Medical Vocational School, while returning to college to earn her Bachelors Degree In Health Science. For health reasons Jeannette was no longer able to work in the public sector. She became aware of the rescue world and become involve by crossposting & pledging when she could (all the rescues seemed to be in the Los Angeles area). As her passion quickly grew she knew she had to do more. Six years ago she began fostering fur-babies for a local rescue (having 4 of her own & treats all her fosters as if they were her own as well). Then she began helping at fundraisers coordinating bake sales at events, eventually Jeannette became the main coordinator for the large outdoor events (still coordinating the bake sale too) finding vendors (30 at last event), keeping track of contract agreement, paid, etc. Setting up entertainment: DJ, character visits, martial arts demo, clown/balloon twister & more (all service happily donated). Jeannette was introduced to W4P by her dear friend who volunteers for W4P (Michelle Sandoval) when a plea went out for an experienced foster for a nervous mama with two pups that were one day old. Jeannette knew she had to step up to help Michelle. An auction was in progress, Jeannette had items to donate so she got the pics ready with all the info etc. and like the follow up post auction. Pat, Beth & Jeannette talked about her experiences with fundraisers, when asked if she'd be interested in becoming the auction coordinator, she said she would be honored and immediately said "YES". Jeannette says she feels blessed to have found the perfect rescue family in Wheels4Paws.
Cheryl Schlis ~ Sponsorship Liaison
How does someone who lives in Denver, CO, get hooked up with a pet transit-rescue group out of North Carolina? Very simple, Facebook! CJ started following Pat and the Wheels4Paws group on Facebook. She met Pat, on one of Pat’s cross-country journeys, and was amazed by the wonderful work that they do by providing second chances for pets in need, by transporting them to new “Fur-ever” homes and rescues all across the country where they can find their fur-ever homes! CJ is married and a mom to 3 fur-kids, Shadow, Noel and Razz. She and her husband, Roger, are both pet lovers and when Roger’s father could no longer take care of his dog, Shadow, it was a “no brainer” that they adopted him. Noel has been Roger’s dog since before they were married and Razz is the “baby” they drove from Colorado to Iowa to adopt from the PNC rescue out of Minnesota. CJ has had dogs all her life and would love for every animal to have a loving home. Currently, CJ is still pursuing retirement, but when she’s done with the “9 to 5” duties, intends to be the “crazy dog lady down the street”! In the meantime, she’s volunteering her “so-called talents” to help the Wheels4Paws organization find some corporate sponsorship's.
Michelle Sandoval ~ North Central Valley, CA Puller/Foster
Michelle lives in Turlock, Ca. for most of the 16 + years of rescue she was on her own. Michelle met Pat Webb over a year ago, when she was networking 4 Chihuahuas that the owner had passed away and they needed placement. Pat saw Michelle's post and offered to take them. Michelle loved the idea of moving small breed dogs out of the Central Valley since there is an abundance of them, mostly in high kill shelters. Michelle likes to send 15 to 25 dogs a month on transport, depending on how many foster homes she may have available. Michelle works with a great veterinarian that she has also been a client of for 24 years, and he supports rescue to the fullest. Michelle has several dogs of her own and a few rescue cats, along with a desert tortoise. Michelle has been married for 31 years and has 3 grown daughters.
Debbie Daniel ~ Web Design/Graphics
Debbie is a lover of animals and involved in holistic medicine for pets. Being a rescuer in the past and rescuing 5 of her own dogs as well, they keep her busy with two of them being special needs dogs with severe spondylosis and hip dysplasia and having to stay close to home at all times, decided to quit her job to stay home and find other jobs to do..which led her into a Certification in Holistic Pet Care and Nutrition and specializing in Canine Arthritis. Debbie now takes on Painting Pet Portraits, Web Design and graphics of any kind. How Debbie came on-board with Wheels4Paws, she ended up rescuing a pitbull from a high kill shelter in North Carolina and was told about Wheels4Paws Transports to help get her to Texas. So Wheels4Paws transported the pittie (Carley) to Texas where she met Ronnie Webb to pick up her new furbaby. After that, Wheels4Paws was in need of help with their old non-functioning website and she offered to build and maintain Wheels4Paws new website.
